I listened to America in concert a couple of nights ago.

It looks like they got some programmers to write some cool codes to organize and present the concerts in a very fast and clean fashion. They digitized everything, you can even jump form song to song within the concert, - pretty cool stuff -

How is he manking money on this?
Maybe he's hoping to generate enough traffic and then have someone offer him a billion?

Let's say someone like you, - sell your stocks and buy the lot from him, charge companies advetising space and make a boat load of cash. But you'd need to make him the offer now, don't wait til he builds the value up.

He's charging up the ying-yang for the art-work, for a start. $500 or so for posters. I did talk to them when the site first launched, and I was told that they were absolutely overwhelmed with orders, to the extent they didn't have much time to take care of glitches in the system.

so the posters and memorabilias are being duplicated and mass produced?

I guess he can't package the concerts and sell them, but he can sell the other products?

I wonder why they think they have the right to sell the Rolling Stone cover? Surely that's owned by Rolling Stone - weird. I'll have to look into that. The rest of it is basically dreck. By the time Bill started working with these 70s bands, the level of the artwork had plummeted, imo. Well, at least they fixed that problem with the photo they kept claiming was Glenn Frey, until they got sick of hearing about it from everyone!

Are these things one of a kind, or is he reproducing them? Surely his stash will eventually run out.

I guess if you buy the magazine, it belongs to you, if some fool thinks it's worth more then the face value, then you can sell it to them and keep your profits, no?

Oh yeah - it is the magazine. I guess you're right, then, though who cares, in that case? I wonder how many they have, and why?

I played the entire Springsteen concert the other day, pretty cool stuff.

VH1 Classic

Please if you don't have this channel, get it.

They have Robbie Robertson on tonight.

They're also getting their asses sued off by several major bands. I was wondering how long that would take.

I talked to the Hendrix family when this first started up (Wolfgang's Vault), and they were not too thrilled. Nor were the Eagles' organization.

I say, leave me alone! It's free!

What are they being sued for?

Copyright infringement. Zep, the Dead, the Doors and Carlos Santana right now. It looks as if they will have to go back and see what the original deals were that Bill signed with all these bands re. Bill Graham Presents' rights to use the material.

I think Wolfgang will win!

He's not selling the songs, just playing them and letting people listen.

The merchandise i'm not sure about.

They might say he is indirectly making money by playing them for free. Lik a radio station playing music for free, but selling ad space.

I'm about to watch Thin Lizzy in concert on vh1 classic.

The first band that got me to listen to FM radio permanently!

I don't - not if the original agreements did not provide for this. Wolfgang, btw, is Bill Graham's real name. The guy who owns it now is not Wolfgang.
