I worked with a pretty bright tech at iPower on this over the last two days, and he spotted today that the server we were on was overloaded - so whatever was happening to us was happening to many sites. It seems like we're back on track, and hopefully so is everyone else on the server. The cyberspace equivalent of stuffing 50 lbs of mud into a 5 lb sack.

I hope they promote him.

Thank goodness it's fixed. Although this morning, I got a message that said that the board had a critical error. I don't know what that meant, but it didn't sound good. Laughing It's working fine now, though.

Ah yes, the old hacking message from December 2004. I found that too, and got on the phone with iPower, this time working with an idiot, who told me that the site was gone for good and other fanciful rubbish that will likely get him at the very least re-trained, plus he'll be having a little chat with the Big Boss, Mark Denzin. I stuck with it, got to a supervisor, and a Level 2 tech fixed the problem in about two minutes, and has left notes on the account regarding what he did, so the Level 1 techs will be able to follow his instructions should it occur again, which it had better not. They moved the site to a new server overnight, so that might have caused the temporary blip. So, sorry for the inconvenience. Anytime you see the message "the site is experiencing strange and trippy technical difficulties" it's going to be very temporary! That was the 2004 hacker, who wrote the code you also see. This also affects the message board, but you simply see a message about not being able to connect to the database.
