I see that Adele is nominated for Best New Artist, for Record of the Year, for Album of the Year, Best Female Vocalist; John Mayer and James Taylor for Best Male Pop Vocal for Say and Wichita Lineman respectively, the Eags are nominated for Best Vocal Group Performance for Waiting In The Weeds, for Best Instrumental for I Dreamed There Was No War (Glenn must be pleased), Best Pop Vocal album for Long Road, [and James for Covers] Best Rock Album with Vocals for Long Road; Best Solo Rock Vocal and Best Rock Song, Springsteen for Girls In Their Summer Clothes.
Mentioning these, because we've discussed them this year.
Coldplay swept several categories, as did Plant and Krauss. Apart from one song, I don't know what all the fuss is about with them. I hated what they did to "Polly."

The Coldpay alleged rip off story still has a way to run, methinks, but how do you prove plagiarism rather than parallel evolution, or vice versa?
 I have just seen that this is already heavy stuff on another thread - though my question still stands if anyone wants to answer

| It's not really alleged - it's already proven. They have to watch the language in media, because the defense can argue judgment in the media, like they did when Nixon said Charles Manson was guilty, but let's face it. They had access, they met the criteria for liability. End of story. |
