I came across this whilst looking at future releases on other DVD's, very basic information through that website so I googled it -

To be released in the US 12th of September and a week later on the 19th in the UK.

David Gilmour Speaks! from the May 2006 issue of Guitar World magazine (Vol. 27/No. 5), "Shine On" an interview by Alan Di Perna. The following is a full quote from the interview concerning the Pulse DVD release

"GW: Speaking of live shows, why is the Pulse DVD coming out later this year, some 12 years after the Division Bell tour?

GILMOUR: It was out on VHS long ago. We had a lot of technical problems converting it to DVD. It was shot on video rather than film, which I now think was a mistake: it doesn't look very good when you enlarge it on a big screen television, which everyone seems to have these days. We'd been investigating all sorts of ways to digitally enhance the footage.

By the time we'd surmounted all the problems, it was way too late to make our November or December ['05] deadline. I didn't see any point in putting it out at the same time as my album (On An Island), so I asked that we put the release back until September".

That makes sense. David is enjoying tremendous success with this tour and his album, so why compete with it, like he says?

Exactly. As some fans said anyway, it will be worth the wait when it comes out.

You can get it from Amazon UK for £13.99 although there it's currently got a release date of 9th October.

Or £15.99 elsewhere on it's 19th September release - easy date to remember for me as it's a family members' birthday! Cool

If you do decide to do the Amazon buy, please click on our link to Amazon UK, so that we can make a little money! It's on the blog underneath the US Amazon link. :D

All I can find is the old version, released in 1995. Can you put the UK Amazon link up, EB?

Thanks! I couldn't find that by entering Pulse and/or Pink Floyd at the UK Amazon link on the site. Can you?

No problem! I found it by searching Pink Floyd in DVD's - should be your first match on the search if you try it. Smile
